The goal is to develop more than 100 MWp of photovoltaic capacity
Kallinchen, Germany/Floirac, France, 15 February 2022. Energiequelle GmbH from Germany and Aedes Energies SAS from France have formed a joint venture. The holding company Aedes-Energiequelle, based in France, will carry several PV project companies with a capacity of over 100 MWp. The initial portfolio consists of various greenfield sites in the départments of Dordogne, Lot-et-Garonne, Nièvre, Gers and Haute-Marne; it will gradually be completed with further projects. Depending on the suitability of individual sites, the electricity produced will be marketed either via feed-in tariff or direct purchase agreements (PPA). First commissionings are planned starting 2025pp.
Within the framework of this cooperation, Aedes Energies is responsible for project development until official permits are granted. Meanwhile, P&T Technologie, Energiequelle’s French subsidiary, is in charge of technical development aspects, construction and subsequent plant management. Energiequelle, in turn, will manage the financing and sale of the projects from Germany once completed. For this, the company can draw on a large network of international investors.

Together with its subsidiary P&T Technologie, Energiequelle has been active on the French market since 2010 and has since connected over 240 MW of wind and PV capacity to the grid. Almost 40 employees at three locations are contribute to the energy transition in France and to Energiequelle’s corporate success.
