Six Enercon systems to supply around 15,000 households in the future
Kallinchen/Belle, 4 March 2022. Construction work on the Belle wind farm has begun. Six Enercon E-147 turbines are to be built here, in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Lippe, each with an output of 5 MW and a hub height of 155 m. The farm will supply around 15,000 households with green electricity in the future.
After the road construction, which started this week, the foundation work will follow in May. The turbines will then be delivered and constructed in June. A special feature of the construction is the use of a climbing crane, which is not set up next to the foundation, but climbs up the turbine tower.
Extensive measures are to be taken to protect large birds and birds of prey. Energiequelle has developed its own app, EQ Smart Stop, for this purpose. With the help of this app, the targeted shutdown of wind turbines can be controlled during and after mowing and ploughing operations in wind farms, as such operations attract large birds and birds of prey when foraging. The farmer can select the parcel he wants to work on in the app and have it switched off via the responsible control room.
In addition, skylark plots were created for the duration of the construction work. These are patches in the cultivated farmland that serve as landing points, retreats and breeding sites for skylarks.
The commissioning of the Belle wind farm is scheduled for March 2023.
This year, Energiequelle is planning to commission a total of 30 wind turbines, one photovoltaic system and two substations in Germany, France and Finland. Approvals for over 280 MW are also expected.
