The international project developer has been awarded with a contract for nine wind turbines in the Central Hesse region and will close the year 2017 with just under 100 million in sales.
Kallinchen / Gießen, April 2018. Last week Energiequelle GmbH was awarded with a contract for the construction of nine wind turbines in the Hessian district of Gießen. These are to be built north and south of the A5 at Reinhardshain and will be about 240 meters high. The company was able to succeed in the tender process against 32 competitors. “From our point of view, not only the good user fee, but above all our intensive discussions with the HessenForst and the prospect of a fair public participation has made the difference,” says project developer Thomas Grote.
In 2017 almost 100 million in sales
With a turnover of € 96,129,000, the balance sheet of Energiequelle GmbH shows a positive conclusion of its anniversary year (20 years since its founding in October 1997). Seven wind farms with a total of 44.2 MW were successfully implemented in 2017. Joachim Uecker, one of the company’s managing directors, is very pleased: “We are optimistic about the future. After initial difficulties with the new EEG and the tenders, we can show positive results and continue our mission of energy transition with confidence and full of energy.”
